It's the most central part of town--you're 15-20 minutes from the beach, downtown, the valley, all of the studios. CENTRAL (literally Beverly and La Cienega is TMZ--the thirty mile zone based on the center of the city).

I'm working in NYC for the next two months and need to sublet ASAP starting January 1 (or possibly earlier if you can do it)until March1. I have one roommate in one room and the third room is unoccupied (it's a three bedroom two bathroom). My roommate is a working, well trained actor. She's incredibly bright, grounded, mature and has her life together. She keeps to herself and observes adult sleeping times (gets up early, goes to bed at normal times) and is VERY quiet.

$1800/month includes cable TV, all the furnishings and rent. Utilities are extra (we can add them on if it's easier) but are about $75/month for everything (gas, internet, power)

Sweet Dog Needs New Home

Our amazing dogs are fighting again due to our inability to give them the attention and exercise they need. With our new twins, they've been jockeying for any attention they can get and now simply don't get along anymore. Unfortunately, we need to find a new home for our smaller Red Nosed Pitt. Although it's breaking our hearts, we know she deserves a better home where she can get the attention and love she so deserves. To say we are desperate would be an understatement. I love her unconditionally, but we can't take the chance of someone getting injured especially with three kids in the household now. I will pay for any and all expenses. I will even pay to have someone take her short-term until we can find the perfect home.

Amber is approximately seven years old. We got her from the LA pound about 6 years ago. We only took her to find a home and then fell so in love with her that we couldn't give her away. She's spayed, vaccinated and house trained, great with our babies, weighs about 55lbs, sleeps indoors, great on a leash, would probably chase cats but it's probably better for her to be an only dog now that she's fighting with our other dog. She's the most loving and giving pet we've ever had. She pours love and affection from every ounce of her body. Although she initially wasn't fearful of anything, she's now developed a bit of fear with new people until she gets to know them. It seems she's more shy around men. Once she trusts you, you'll be getting the most loyal pet ever. She loves playing fetch with the tennis ball and is very fast, and loves her walks. She also loves being showered with attention and love. She actually likes to cuddle when sleeping.

She's an important part of our family and we wouldn't be looking if we didn't have to. A huge dog lover is what we're after and a home check will be required. If at anytime you're unhappy with her I will definitely take her back. I never want her going to a bad home or a pound. We tried to find her a home over a year ago, but the economy made it impossible. Hoping it's different this time.

Spencer and Jill have a strong bond (Think the Gilmore Girls), but Spencer doesn't always think his mother makes the best choices and that weighs on him. Spencer's family is teetering on the poverty line and Spencer works a job at a grocery store to help pay rent and to put some food on the table.
Spencer is a natural leader and arguably the greatest runner to ever walk the halls of West Westchester High School. Spencer's smart, mildly quick witted, and way to serious for his own good. He has a big heart that sometimes gets lost behind his stubbornness.
PROTOTYPE - Nicholas Braun, Miles Heizer, Cody Christian
[LARRY] 40-50, male: Larry's rich. Oil rich. But money doesn't buy happiness. Larry is in a state of perpetual depression as he contemplates life's big questions. Larry's wife recently left him for a young cat trainer at Petsmart. In the divorce Larry got to keep the house and the cat figurines, while she took half of his bank account and his dignity. If you ask Larry, it was a fair trade. But Larry can't be trusted to always tell the truth in his current state of instability. Since the divorce Larry has developed a wicked drug habit. When asked how a man in his forties gets addicted to coke, Larry mumbles something about his lost youth and never slowing down to enjoy life's moments. Larry was high at the time when he answered that question, so his true intentions are unknown, even to himself. In the story, Larry comes off as creepy, but he would just tell you he's friendly.

[THOMAS] 17, Indian male: Thomas is Spencer's best friend. He is a first generation Indian - American who is super smart, lazy at sports, but hard working when it comes to his studies. He's currently on pace to be the valedictorian but he has more important things on his mind, like having a three-some with the Winsky twins. Thomas is not a virgin, he lost that during summer camp two years ago. Thomas's life is very rigid. Wake up at 5:00 am, study for the SAT, practice piano, school at 7:35 am, cross country practice after school, followed by homework at home and a hour of television. His rigid life does not leave a lot of time for fun and adventure, so when he sees an opportunity to have a good time he takes it. Sometimes he is a little too eager to get himself into trouble, all in the name of 'loosening up'.

Log Line:
High school senior Spencer Bullacker (17) works an afterschool job delivering pies to help the school track team pay to get to Nationals. During a routine delivery Spencer discovers that he is not only delivering backed goods, but delivering drugs!

In my last email I wrote about the great results that Laser treatments are producing. This is particularly true for treating the sypmtoms of TMJ ( Temporo- mandibular joint or Jaw joint) problems and the associated Headaches that many people are experiencing. In my research I just came a cross a great research project from Sweden in which extremely high correlation between TMJ dysfunction and Headaches was established. The key was that the headaches were consistently correlated to facial and chewing muscle inflammation. Which is exactly the tissues that I target with the Laser Treatment.

My client, actor/director/producer Rich Tanne, has been making THE most exceptional tapes for people lately! I LOVE THEM! He does the WHOLE thing for you and it doesn’t have that canned, “I-paid-some-stranger-a-shitload-of-money-and-it-looks-like-a-bad-telenovella feel. If you need tape, read on!

A professional quality reel that showcases you playing the types of roles you should be cast for in TV and in film is arguably the most important tool you can possess when looking for representation or being submitted theatrically. You may be awesome at delivering Shakespeare's St. Crispen speech from Henry V, but putting that on your reel probably won't help a casting director envision you for a guest star on TWO AND A HALF MEN or NCIS, and while it may prove to prospective agents and managers that you're a great actor, it won't show them how to sell you... and if reps don't know how to sell you, they won't take you on.

Simply put, the goal of creating an effective reel should be to express your castability as an actor. This is a goal I've started helping other actors achieve. Along with my cinematographer, sound person, and editor - we offer a turn-key solution for creating a great reel. This video is the most recent example of a reel I put together for an actor:

Here was the process in 5 steps:

1. I met with Brian and discussed his logline and marketability. We decided on which 3 "types" of roles he wanted to play and which genres they were in.

2. Using scenes from procedural shows, sitcoms, and features as reference points, I wrote 3 original scenes, each running one page in length (a minute of screen time per scene).

3. After Brian's approval of the scenes, we rehearsed.

4. We shot all three scenes on a Sunday from 10am-4pm at LK using talented actors from the studio to play opposite Brian.

5. A week later, the fully-edited reel was posted and ready for Brian and his reps.

We can tailor the process to your specific needs or we can operate turn-key style where essentially all you have to do is show up with your A-game and we take care of the rest. Ideal location would be a house or duplex with a huge living room area for hosting rehearsals with quiet bedrooms with their own bathrooms.
We'd have high speed internet, cable, bi-weekly maid service, covered parking, washer/dryer, dishwasher and lots of closet space. No smoking. My share of the budget is $1000 to $1500 per month. I'd like to be east of Crescent Heights, north of Melrose, and west of La Brea or close in on the Hollywood Hills. Outdoor space would be a bonus.

I have little furniture so furnished would be great, but I can buy some if required.

Room for Rent

Room is available November 1st, rent is $901.48 (pending we get to renew lease at same full price), utilities end up being about 55 dollars a month which include electric/cable/internet.

"In the Twink of an Eye Casting" and I, Germán Legarreta, are looking for dedicated Casting Interns. We will be needing people to be readers, run the camera and the door list on Wednesday the 18th at the Melrose Office and Thursday the 19th and Friday 20th for a Producers Session in Santa Monica.

This is a good experience for actors to know how a casting office works and to see how the audition process goes. Also, you'll get to be in a producers session and hear and see everything they talk about behind the scenes!

I will also be needing people for the same duties Thursday 26th and Friday the 27th

Hi Gang,

Some of you know I do a comedy/music nightclub act called Elvis Prestello, the Elvis Presley impersonator who only does Elvis Costello songs (you can see a coarse example here: http://www.youtube.com/user/jeffreynbrown#p/a/u/0/vWpcewEZM08).

This Saturday we're shooting a music video and having a party- we need party goers! (BADLY!)

The video is for the song "Alison"- Kahnstituents Miranda Lilley and Matt Jones will be playing Alison and her husband, respectively. The video is being directed by Rich Talarico, who has written for SNL, Mad TV and The Tonight Show. Kahnstituent Brendan Hunt plays Elvis Prestello.

The shoot is at a big house in Cahuenga Pass with a pool (a pool too cold to swim in, alas). So there will be plenty of room to hang out or catch some rays while not shooting. And we'll feed you!

We need partygoers from around 11am, and in a perfect world they would stay until 4- but even if you can only pop by for an hour or two in that time, we could absolutely use you.

I PROMISE IT WILL BE A FUN WAY TO SPEND PART OF A SATURDAY AFTERNOON. AND IT WOULD BE A HUUUUUUUUUUGE HELP.

Another holiday has arrived and with it Spring is in full swing! To help everyone get into the mood of looking good and feeling even better, I decided that this week I would write about a subject that most of you are no strangers to, but would probably like to know much more about. Detoxing. Anyone who has ever seen me, even walking down the street, would probably not be surprised by my very strong interest in the subject of detoxifying bodies. Living in Los Angeles, and in almost any region of the developed world, we are constantly exposed to toxins that are both visible and invisible.

Why this is a topic that a lot of people often claim they have the answer, and the only answer. While some people are either nutty, or wrong, or out to sell something, or all of the above, I have written this week's article in the hope that you will understand both the purpose of detoxifying as well as what an effective detox program should be.

As most of you know, I have almost 30 years of experience in the world of detoxification, long before it was synonymous with celebrity weight loss secrets. Also, our center was one of the very first centers to use genetic-based detox programs almost 10 years ago. So when I talk about detoxification, I am talking from literally decades of experience.
